As Managing Director of the Inter-Regional Secretariat of Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, Mr. Nagy is currently responsible for oversight of activities related to the IMS international program including strategic development, marketing, finance, project portfolio oversight, outreach activities, and general management. Under his tenure new services were instituted to promote research project development, ManuVation SME-focused programs for advanced technology integration, and with its partners, launched the highly successful World Manufacturing Forum (WMF). He currently serves on the Board of Directors for IMS International and as Vice President of the World Manufacturing Foundation.
Mr. Nagy was a former manager of corporate accounts for Apogent Technologies, where he guided sales and marketing of scientific products, developed and implemented contracts with major group purchasing organizations and large commercial laboratories, and pioneered group contracting with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and Department of Defense. Mr. Nagy also was responsible for database management and development. In his early career, he worked as a medical technologist and laboratory manager.
Mr. Nagy holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lycoming College, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Baker University. He also has numerous certificates and holds certification in medical laboratory technology.
