ADDFACTOR: Advanced digital technologies and virtual engineering for mini-factories

Add factor

Overview

ADDFactor proposes the “Mini-factories” concept, which is conceived to be an innovative solution for most of the actors involved in the whole supply chain: the relationship between retailers and the manufacturing technologies will be considered and characterized by a new production framework concept, founded on central knowledge-based design and local distributed manufacturing.

IMS Activities:

  • A new factory concept based on a innovative generation of diagnostic, design and manufacturing technologies will be disseminated covering worldwide markets and needs.
  • Within the IMS framework, the definition of collaborations with research groups in other regions working on sibling activities will be possible through the MTP initiative on consumer goods; finding so as to take complementary actions and common synergies.
