Following the IMS International Steering Committee meeting to be held one day prior, IMS will conduct a manufacturing research workshop at the South Carolina Research Authority (SCRA) complex located adjacent to the Charleston International Airport. By invitation only, participants will hear briefings on research programs from experts in Europe and North America, a preview of the World Manufacturing Forum 2013, and an overview of IMS. They will also be briefed on the new IMS projects LinkedDesign “Linked Knowledge in Manufacturing, Engineering and Design for Next-Generation Production” and SuPLIGHT “Sustainable and Efficient Production of Lightweight Solutions” using aluminum alloys.
